Building
Exterior Description
The church was constructed in the 1960s, the hall in 1897. The church is hidden behind the hall and is not visible from the road. The church is a simple building typical of the 1960s, with a shallow pitched roof, clerestorey lighting to the north and south and a large window filling the majority of the east wall. Unlike the internal layout of a conventional church, the sanctuary is located in front of the black west wall abutting the hall. The church is constructed of a mixture of panels of wire cut buff and red clay bricks, with concrete beams and lintels. The walls are uninsulated cavity construction with concrete lintels spanning the window openings. The pitched roof over the nave is covered with red clay pantiles. The single storey sections of the building to the south and north of the nave are flat roofed and covered with mineral felt. The entrance porch has a small pitched roof with red clay pantile covering. The windows of the church are metal framed.
