Medieval. Flint and ironbound conglomerate with stone dress- ings. Slate and pantile roofs. West tower; nave, chancel, south porch. Embattled round tower probably of C13. Small round-headed opening to west with conglomerate dressings. Cusped Y-tracery bell-openings. Conglomerate quoins of earlier church in west wall of nave to the south, herringbone conglomerate to north. Buttressed nave of 4 bays with diagonal buttresses. To the south, 2 windows of 2 cusped lights restored in the C19, with quatre- foils in the head; between these a 3-light square headed window with panel tracery. To the north, a blocked doorway with hood mould; 3 similar windows. Chancel. Some conglomerate in chancel walling; diagonal buttresses. To the south a C19 brick buttress. One Y-tracery window, one restored cusped Y- tracery window. To the north a C19 outshut. Restored east window of 3 lights with Decorated tracery. 2-storey south porch with diagonal buttresses. Stair turret to west with slit lights. South face of porch in knapped flint; continuous chamfer to archway; alternate flint and conglomerate voussoirs. Above this a niche flanked by single lights all under hood mould; quatrefoil light under hood mould over. Continuous chamfer to nave doorway.

Nave roof replaced in 1856. Chancel arch with 2 continuous chamfered orders. Lancet piscina in chancel. Fine C15 seven sacrament font. Blocked 4-centred arch formerly to rood-loft.
