The church is built of uncoursed random rubble walling with dressed stone features (quoins, door and window surrounds, gables and the attractive bellcote at the West end). The main roofs are covered with stone slates, laid in diminishing courses, with stone ridges. The Chapel, which projects to the South, has a low pitch roof behind a stone parapet. This roof is covered with synthetic tiles which are in a poor state.
