The church was designed by Edward Garbett, who used Salisbury Cathedral as inspiration. Two unusual features of the Church include the small octagonal vestry, positioned at the north-east side of the nave and connected by a small passageway. The second unusual feature is the position of the tower at the south-east of the nave, designed by John Buckler.
