16th Century The church was rebuilt in 1540 with materials from Snelshall Priory. Repaired again around 1636 by Mr. Stafford, the proprietor. In1842 it was ‘destitute of a ceiling’ which was repaired and ‘partly restored’ (Kelly) in 1892. In 1959 £58 was needed for immediate repairs £ 625 for deferred items. In 1960 the roof was repaired and woodwork treated.

A small wooden belfry containing a bell inscribed 'Petrus Deveston me tecit' who died in 1357.

13th-18th Century Clustered shafts, then a cable moulding and a small bowl carved with 'egg and dart' ornament. Canon Clarke thought it was a 1636 repair 'revivalism': but Collins’ Church Guide calls it 13th-18th century.
