The Old Cumbria Gazetteer includes Place Records of locations in the old counties of Westmorland, Cumberland, Lancashire north of the sands, and Yorkshire that are now in one county, Cumbria, including the Lake District, and of other places relevant to any guide book, map or print, that has been studied in the Lakes Guides project. Records are illustrated with extracts from old maps, old prints, paintings and photographs, and modern photographs
