Interpretation of the sapwood on the dated samples indicates that the majority of timbers were probably felled at one and the same time in, or about, 1620. However, it is possible that one timber, the north-east hip rafter, is slightly earlier, having an estimated felling date of between 1593 at the earliest and 1613 at the latest. It is possible, if the source tree had a higher number of sapwood rings than usual, that this timber was felled in, or about, 1620 as well. One sample remains ungrouped and undated.
